  • I have a couple of the models othes have discussed in this thread. The Porta Pro and the Sennheiser PX100-II. Both are quite comfortable, at least for me. The sound is quite different between the two. The PP give you a good deal more treble than the Senns. The Senns have what used to be referred to as the Sennheiser “veil”. Meaning a darker, non-sparkly sound. Pleasant enough but lacking in the upper range. They do have a cleaner, less “fuzzy” sound than the PP. With the PP, I always get the feeling I am hearing some sort of distortion in the sound. This is at low to medium volume.

I don’t use these very much, as I don’t think the sound quality is all that good on either pair.

I agree with you on most of your points. I also use wired for various reasons. They cost less, are harder to lose, the wires don’t bother me at all, and I think wired (in general) sounds better.

The ones I use most (when I use them) are the Apple EarPods. For about $16 I get basically the same sound as the much more expensive wireless version. Why would I spend $150 or more for wireless? In my case, it wouldn’t make sense.
