I had a FULL es stack. E3es amp, cd player, tuner, dat, cassette, and minidisk. They all broke down, drive belt breaking, skipping, left channel outage, susceptibility to humidity, insensitive station pickup. They were ALL faulty in a way that the hype could not justify. AND it all sounded harsh and brittle, whenever it ran… Extra Special it was not! I took them all to the tip one by one. Conversely I am still using my previous beginner system of Rega planar2, Nad3020i, marantz CD 63ki, Denon cassette. THEY bring me pleasure for hours every day… Some are approaching 40 years old. Now THAT is build quality and the beauty of simplicity. Still angry about believing the SONY hype .

I see all those records but no turntable… Is it hiding in the black on black fitment? I see something but again I don’t see anything really.
