I’ve had poor hearing my whole life, and shocking, it hasn’t gotten better with age. I use it as an excuse to add EQ to bring up the treble a bit. Come at me, purists.

Agree with others, Blue Jeans all day. Spend more money on speakers and room treatments. Spend less money on amps and cables.

I can’t pick one. Martin Logan had a setup at RMAF a while back, it was like $1.5M worth of equipment. Wow.

JBL DD67000 blew me away but the M2 are 98% as good for way, way less.

Danley SH60. Yeah, a PA speaker, they are magical.

Honorable mentions: Magnepan 3.6 and the ProAc Tablette Reference 8 Signature. And my Gedlee, I’m biased.

Most of what I have is 12-16awg copper. I mostly use the banana plugs that screw on, no solder, just a mechanical connection.

I don’t fiddle with my gear as much as I used to. I started on banana plugs when I was swapping things weekly.
