I’m looking for cost effective and not too ugly solutions for room treatment and cable management. Off the right side of the photo is a sliding glass door. The left side opens up to a kitchen/dining area. The photo is taken from the couch which has a wall directly behind. I like the sound I have now, but I’ve noticed a sharp reverb when I clap, so I think the sound could get better. Speakers: Triangle Borea BR03 Amp: Yamaha R-N303 Turntable: AT-LP60XHP
I’d put the TV on the wall, put the turntable and amp on the middle table. Sell the two smaller tables and buy larger stands. A carpet would be a good start for sound treatment and curtains as well. Use larger books and blankets in the lower shelf to help hide cables.
Funny thing is, we had it that way, except for TV on the wall, until this week! My girlfriend is really into Lego and we changed the setup to fit the Colosseum under the tv. I’ll try to put some other items around it too. Forgot to mention that I have a thick blackout curtain for the window. I’ll start looking into getting a large rug for this room. Thanks for the advice!
The space between the tv and the wall is prime real estate for nasty reflections, I had issues with my studio monitors and my computer monitor in a badly treated room before but the front ports of your triangles should make it not nearly as bad as rear ported speakers. Tv on the wall is definitely good advice! What’s the room look like behind the camera?
