Very happy with the sound (going to get a better furniture though) a pair of speakers and an amp/ pre/streamer set (simaudio and keg ref), I mostly listen by streaming Tidal.

Every setup around here has dozens of different boxes doing something. Do I miss on something?

I feel a little left behind having so little system

What did you have before? That might help to better understand the gap in perceived performance.

Looked through your post history and your new setup would be the envy of many here so it’s disappointing you don’t like it.

The Moon 330a (I think that’s what I see) should have more than enough power (250wpc @ 4ohm) for the Kefs.

Sometimes a “worse” system can sound better if you like the way it sounds better. I like systems with good PRaT (pace, rhythm and timing). If you put me in front of a super clinical system I can definitely appreciate it, but after a few beers I’d probably feel there is something missing.

How do the components affect the pace, rhythm and timing of the source material?. I’m not implying they don’t or can’t, I’m just curious.

having a big stack of separate components is just a preference thing.

The big popular thing these days in hifi is all in one do-all magic boxes that combine everything. like the Naim Uniti Atom or a Cambrige Evo.

But the usual stack of separates you will see might consist of:

    • Streamer

    • CD player

    • phono pre

    • turntable

    • DAC

    • preamp

    • power amp

There’s a trend toward simplification in audio systems so you’re on the leading edge. There are so many really great integrated amps that feature decent DACs, streamers, phono stages. Even a few are coming out with HDMI inputs for TV audio. Yamaha’s newest receivers even feature room correction but not an HDMI input.

Oh that’s the problem right there. What is missing is money from your wallet you wasted on snakeoil.
