I’m planning on picking up the Hexa sometime soon as my very first pair of IEMs but I’ve heard that the physical comfort can be a hit or miss so I’m wondering what other tips people use to make them a more enjoyable experience. Thanks!
I also use the SP100’s, and they work fine.
Not exactly about comfort, but something relevant. The Hexa’s are very happy to play super high pitches like 10k and beyond. For me at least, I can’t actually hear the tone, but it’s excruciating. This looks like feeling really weird and not why or even really noticing - but after a short listening stint, it becomes unbearable.
I EQd out those super high frequencies and it made so much difference.
The Hexa’s are also bright - highish treble sounds pure and clear… and can be really fatiguing. It can be just too much. So I EQd down those frequencies, and that made a difference.
Your mileage may vary, but those are things I would have wanted to know. But the Hexa’s are a great IEM. The technicalities blow me away, and everything sounds great on them. Enjoy.
Really prefer the stock tips. I tried an open bore and didn’t like how it changed the sound. So narrow and stock for me
Tri clarion. With s size fit me perfect. Seems to elevate mids and extends treble almost without affecting bass.
You can buy a set of KBEAR07 they are cheap, come in 5 sizes and silicone quality is a definite improvement over stocks tips, they have a narrow-ish boar so slightly more bass (but I honestly can’t tell much difference).
