So, im upgrading my ~10 years old Dynaudio DM 2/7 to polk r700. Always wanted floorstanders, but lived in an apartment before.

Also my yamaha as701 to rotel rc-1572 with a D-amp NCore NCX500 modules.

This will be my endgame. In the long run it will be prolly fine, but having abit buyers remorse now.

    yes, when i upgraded my power amp, i was half expecting double the performance but i got maybe 30% better. then i read that the issue is likely the speakers i was using, they need a solid amp to perform well, but a very good amp won’t make them too much better.

    so i’m now looking for a pair of speakers.
