I’m considering getting new speakers. I have the Focal Aria 948 in mind. What are your thoughts about buying speakers today, that was initially released 10 years ago. I know with speakers quality matters more than technology, but there must still have been some advances in the past decade?
I am professionally acquainted with the 948 and while I like it, I don’t consider it a strong value for the retail price. Their newer Vestia line seems very nearly as good, for quite a bit less. The Revel Performa3 F208 is very competitive as well.
I have F208s. I’m not an expert, but they are awesome. Especially in the room. 20 x 28. There is plenty of room and power to drive
I’ve found a pair for $2300. They’re still sealed in the boxes and have 11 months left of 2 years warranty. Would you consider that a buy?
