Just curious about this since they kind of look open back but I’m not quite sure? I don’t have them in person so It’s harder to tell.

    headphones don’t have soundstage… unless it’s a binaural recording…

    large drivers with thick pads will sound further away from the ears (makes sense, right?!) and create “space”, but that’s not a soundstage at all!

      you have either never heard a good soundstage or you are listening to music which is badly mixed or your music doesnt make use of soundstage.
      Listen to some Ambient or large classical orchestra using an ATH M50 at first and then swap the phones to an HD800s and listen to the same music again. if you still dont hear it, you are lucky, as you dont need to spend anymore money into expensive gear.
