Are you saying I should thank my wife for the absurd amount of plants we have in the room with my surround sound? Lol

I never considered their impact on sound

Good question, when I first set it up at 45 degrees the right speaker would have stronger low end. I slowly rotated it until the speakers sounded balanced

How do the plants affect the sound? Do they make it more “natural” or “organic”? :)

Nice!!! I go for the same strategy - lots of ficus in my room, lots of dense creepers in the corners, windowboxes full of planters. It truly does make a difference in diffusion, and it looks sooooooooo much better than traditional acoustic diffusers. Your setup is much better looking, and MUCH better sounding than mine! Cheers

I like it when I see plants without them sitting on top of the actual speakers like funny little green hats and without a giant leaf dangling right in front of the tweeter like so many people choose to do for some reason.

Heya! This setup has an HDV 820 DAC, Atoll IN100 SE amplifier, and Antal Triangle 40th Anniversary speakers. I’ve tried several different dacs with this setup, I’ve found the HDV 820 brings forward very sharp transients and highlights unexpected precision in the imaging.

The first time I had it set up I had a song come on that opens with a soft thunder, I had a sharp cognitive dissonance of "huh? The windows are closed. I was giggling like a kid when I realized I’d been briefly convinced it was the actual weather.

I have another few dozen plants around the room not in the picture, the acoustics are very clean!

Love to see Triangle getting some love! I have the Australe floors standers and they are amazing, so much fun to listen to.

I remember seeing an april fools video on Darko’s channel talking about the different acoustic properties of various plants and thinking maybe its not such a crazy idea.

Not sure if anyone has actually tested it though, but it does look nice.

This is probably one of my most favorite listening room setups I’ve seen. Very peaceful.
