My new March Audio p422 arrived today.
The rest of my system: Technics Sl-1210g Hana ML EAT E-Glo Petit Phono Stage with 1959 Baldwin branded Raytheon 12AX7’s Vincent Audio SA-32 preamp Mirage OMD-28’s
This is replacing an Emotiva XPA-200 that I have had about a decade.
So far so good. Feels like an upgrade, I expect it will sound even better over the next month. It was between this and the NAD M23. I was able to audition the NAD, but not the March Audio. I decided to roll the dice on the p422 anyway. I was intrigued by the measurements and the insane damping factor.
After only an hour of listening, I have no regrets. It is freakishly transparent.
Whats the blue glue gun thingy?
Wife thinks it does not have a distinct enough soundstage. Hopefully, burn-in will help.

You think a class D amp will “burn in”? I just don’t understand this belief. Rest assured that it will not burn-in or sound better. Your solid state hardware sounds like it sounds, so just enjoy!
Getting behind to access input sockets. How do you do it? A perpetual problem for most of us.
Congratulations on acquiring the new amp! Must be exciting. Hope you are having fun playing your old music as new again 🙂. So any comparison between the March and the NAD that you can share?
