KZ/CCA do silent revisions that fuck with products after the initial production run all the time.
Don’t buy from those brands, don’t trust anyone who tells you to, they’re a dumpster fire and in the low budget space you can get something from Truthear, 7hz, Moondrop, and other brands that won’t sound like shit.
