I just ordered the HD 660s2 yesterday but unfortunately today I read somewhere that the newer headphone has lower quality components than the original 600 series headphones due to the increased cost of the materials in Europe. Is this true?

That would be a crime considering that HD660s2 is like 2 times more expensive.
But we can’t really tell, unless someone with knowledge open both headphones open and investigates it.
