Basically the headline- i stupidly grabbed my bedsheets and hauled them into my washing machine for a quick wash cycle, forgetting that my headphones were tucked in there. It wasn’t til i was switching everything into the dryer that I realized what happened.

My second stupid mistake was trying to turn them on right after, the power light flickered on but then turned off. I decided to just leave them alone and let them fully dry.

Their current state is that that they feel slightly moist but not dripping wet. This all happened less than 24 hours ago.

Is their any hope for them? Can they be saved? I’m so heartbroken and angry at myself. I’ve only owned these for a month since I received them as a birthday present last month. Please help!

can try and let them dry for the next week or two but chances are there toast if you tried to turn them on so soon after they went thought the wash.

Electronics are literally powerwashed. Water doesn’t kill them as long as they’re off and you leave them to 100% dry.

You might have fucked up trying to turn them on. Should have left them for a week or so to dry before trying

And as long as the water is pretty near impeccably clean… True, it’s no the water itself, but the impurities and minerals ‘n’ shit that can and will cause short circuits if not thoroughly cleaned off.
