Thoughts on toeing in the B&W speakers as such? Does it widen the listening area, or just cause interference? I have it set up like this due to room constraints, and it works for me, but I don’t claim to have the best ears in the world.

I’ve experimented with the positioning, and through different combinations found that the sound changes, but I can’t discern what is a ‘good’ or a ‘bad’ change. So I’ve settled on what makes the most sense ergonomically.

The Mackie monitors are my critical listening setup, so they’re properly spaced based on common practice for my listening position.

I think there are two reasons to adjust toe in.

First, if they are too bright or fatiguing when pointed directly at you, change it so they are not.

Second, to get the best possible stereo image. Listening with eyes closed try to pick out locations of the various sounds. See if adjustment might make those locations wider, farther from the actual speaker locations.

“Chocolate Chip Trip” by Tool is fun to listen to, if only for scientific reasons. Might make my item no. 2 above make more sense?
