Thoughts on toeing in the B&W speakers as such? Does it widen the listening area, or just cause interference? I have it set up like this due to room constraints, and it works for me, but I don’t claim to have the best ears in the world.

I’ve experimented with the positioning, and through different combinations found that the sound changes, but I can’t discern what is a ‘good’ or a ‘bad’ change. So I’ve settled on what makes the most sense ergonomically.

The Mackie monitors are my critical listening setup, so they’re properly spaced based on common practice for my listening position.

I don’t think there’s any right or wrong answer when it comes to toe-in. Two different speakers will most likely end up having different toe-in depending on placement, driver dispersion, frequency-response and such so as long as you find the sound good it’s really all there is to it IMO.

But what you can do is try and write down the differences that you hear and describe them the best you can. I know it can be very difficult, I’m still in the same boat where I can hear a difference but can have a hard time telling if it’s a good or a bad difference. I just take my time with any change that I make, use it for a day, a week, a month, then change it up again and see how I like it.
