Hey guys, i need help with selecting between these two monsters. Understandably there are some tradeoffs between each of these. Any users care to share their inputs between these two? Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the input! Sr35 comes with quad chips though, wonder how the DX240 will match up. Intrigued by the new AK ui too. Ideally I will only use it for music playback via Apple Music offline. Don’t really need all the other google play store stuff or YouTube etc. DX240 has been out awhile now too, and I’m abit hesitant for an older android based dap that it will become slightly dated the moment I purchase it at the end of 2023

35 might be better than 25, but still much worse than dx240. This is speculation since it did not heard 35. Dx240 is indeed outdated, but it works pretty good. Don’t support system wide PEQ due to outdated Android.

I’m no longer using dx240 because bought Fiio M17.

I own the SR35 and have heard a few iBasso players (DX170, 300, 320, 320Max). SR35 is a great sounding little player. Sound is technical with a touch of warmth as per typical with Cirrus Logic DAC chips. SR35 also has magnificent battery life, is very pocketable and has a slick user interface. If I had to guess based on my previous experience with Ibasso I would say the DX240 will sacrifice some of SR35’s warmth for a marginally more technical sound. SR35 will likely run circles around the DX240 when it comes to snappy interface, usability and battery life.
