For me DT770 PRO’s are not bad, never had such issues with breaking anything with normal usage at PC, but earpads got so dirty so fast, but the ones on DT700 Pro are better in that regard. What is bad is headband in DT700 Pro breaks so fast, that I just bought aftermarket one that costs 1/5 of headphones to not have same story again in couple of months. :|

On DT770 headband broke in different way, like cut hole in middle from usage, not bad compared to DT700 headband where cover simply gets out of mount.

Yes if you treat them as if they were those JBL shock resistant portable speakers

I have had a pair of DT990s for 2 years and yeah the those plastic parts have also broken for me, however 6 months seems really fast for them to break under normal use.

I’ve had mine for 10 years and they still look new after the routine pad clean. Unlucky I suppose. Do you regularly throw them at a wall?

Those parts are under quite the stress normally, any drops and internal damage accumulate. Mine gave out after heavy usage for 2 years, got myself high-density 3D printed ones with extra depth and haven’t had a problem since.
I have the files for them still, in case it happens again. Fortunately haven’t had to use them.

Same thing happened to my Dt990s Bought 3d printed ones to replacement them. Downside to having a big ass head.

You can clearly tell by the condition of the headphones that you didn’t look after them. Hence it is cracking.
