I used to think that Airpods sounded amazing. Granted, they were my first “higher-end” pair of earphones. Then I discovered this subreddit and found a bunch of new things. I decided to try out the Philips SHP9600 seeing as it wasn’t too expensive (bought it for 60 on sale!) and holy wow. The smaller details that I didn’t even imagine! It kinda makes me realize why some people don’t like pop songs as much as certain songs sound so empty compared to others. But then I am getting curious, is it worth it upgrade more and more? I was looking into the X2HR, and HD6XX. I don’t mind spending money on things I enjoy, especially music. But damn, some of the expensive ones go for so much, and getting more and more gear doesn’t seem like a sustainable idea for me. Is there like a sweetspot where I can be at? Where after a point its only limited gains.

I can only speak for 600s and I love the headphones. Had it for 2 years now and just amazing
