What are general views on isolation feet for heavy floor standing speakers? They seem to cost a lot of money, but are they going to make a great deal of difference to warrant spending that kind of money.
Are there people that view them as an essential giving certain conditions like hardwood floors? Or are they seen as largely unnecessary?
If you have an issue with your speakers audibly driving the floor and room structure then isolating the speakers will bring improvements. Many people don’t have an issue. Most expensive audiophile “isolators” don’t provide effective isolation but, surprisingly for expensive audiophile accessories, one or two do. It would likely be cheaper though to use products sold to address acoustic installation issues with machinery.
