Audio hack or waste of time?

Can 4 rca to 1/4" plug adapters make the Alesis ‘NanoVerb’ Reverb Effects Processor viable for regular stereo use? Will placing it between your tuner or cd player and your amplifier actually work considering these were designed for guitars?

It’s line level, it will work. I use a similar device with my stereo to simulate old-sounding recordings. The Nanoverb has input and output levels so should be easy to dial in the loudness you need.

You might try it in the REC OUT- TAPE IN tape loop if your amp has that. That is how equalizers are traditionally integrated into stereos. You can listen to the unmodified input as normal, then when you choose tape monitor, you’ll hear the input as it sounds being piped through the effects.

Can confirm on tape loop setup, I run a pioneer reverb unit and this is exactly how to set it up.

I personally like the way it sounds on very low settings, gives a bit of “shine” to the tracks.
