I currently have a rocketfish Bluetooth transponder connected to my Realistic SA-2080 receiver powering some Sansui SP-2500’s. I’m wondering if buying a DAC is going to improve audio quality substantially.

    Bluetooth will be the bottleneck. Adding a DAC may smooth it out a bit but it can’t add anything.

    Get a DAC that can be used as a network streamer and ditch BT.
