i’m aware that both modes cancel out some incoming noise (with adaptive mode cancelling out more) but at previous concerts i’ve preferred the experience using the regular transparency mode. the thing is i don’t want to damage my ears, can anyone tell me if regular transparency mode is sufficient to protect my hearing?

another question is what earplugs should i get for this purpose? of course i can’t right now since i’m going to the concert tonight but for future festivals and live music, etc. also, so earplugs muffle the music, or just lower the volume? idk how these things work

as far as I know there are specific plugs for this use, that have a certain curve in the blocked frequency range. regular plugs will do though, to the best of my knowledge, except you might miss out unnecessarily on some of the music (the lower end I think) since they’ll block more evenly. something like that. put another way, there are plugs that avoid muffling
