i’m aware that both modes cancel out some incoming noise (with adaptive mode cancelling out more) but at previous concerts i’ve preferred the experience using the regular transparency mode. the thing is i don’t want to damage my ears, can anyone tell me if regular transparency mode is sufficient to protect my hearing?

another question is what earplugs should i get for this purpose? of course i can’t right now since i’m going to the concert tonight but for future festivals and live music, etc. also, so earplugs muffle the music, or just lower the volume? idk how these things work

We use the Alpine ones and have found them great but I’m sure there are plenty of good options.

The most important thing is you are taking steps to do this.

The idea that people are “Audiophiles” and spend thousands and thousands on kit but don’t protect the most important bit in the audio chain is just nuts.
