I have been trying to gain some understanding into 2 Way vs. 3 Way Speakers. I have read lots of information that talk about the technical difference, and that makes sense. What is hard to find is insight into the differences/advantages in the actual sound.

For those of you that have experience with both, are there notable distinctions in the sound performance between two way and three way speakers?

    Thank you everyone that took the time to comment. I am extremely appreciative of all the insight and knowledge that has been shared here.

    I kept my setup out of it on purpose. I have a pair of B&W 805Ss That I got new what feels like a lifetime ago. I love them and am finally in a spot to give them the rig they deserve. I also have the opportunity to build a second setup so I’m trying to arm myself with enough knowledge to build exactly what I want. Thank you all.
