on my old phone i used to use some wired sony earbuds that i paid around 25 bucks for. now since my new phone doesnt have a headphone jack, i decided i should treat myself with a better pair of headphones, so i bought the xm4s. however it feels to me that they sound exactly the same. granted im not an audiophile, i dont use amps, dacs, music apps with crazy sound quality features, or various devices and gizmos some of you might own, just plain spotify. is this normal, though? im happy with my purchase and i wont be returning these, the anc is very good as far as im concerned, they fit nicely on my head and ears, and most importantly they dont have that annoying hiss wireless headphones tend to have.
Bluetooth audio is subject to a bunch of details. Might be worth checking the configuration. Also the XM’s are likely a lot more amenable to equalization, so it’s worth at least experimenting. Even just the default audio settings options on my phone produce very different results depending on what is selected. I don’t have XM’s though.
because xm4 sounds like fucking garbage, i am not surprised
My Letshuoer S12’s are my best IEM right now, but my Tozo T6’s get 10x more use, because they’re convenient, tough, and cheap.
Not everything has to sound the best to work the best for you, in a given situation.
I personally find that after a long day at work listening to spotify through my Tozo’s, I appreciate my 6xx’s through some tubes a lot more.
you don’t buy these for sound quality… they are decent at best, although no competition for common 100-200 bucks wired headphones.
you buy these for their outstanding ANC quality, nothing else.
the pads are so shallow that you sweat in them no ANC when you have to take them off for your ears to breathe. They are also bass cannons and i hate it i wanted to like the xm4/5 a lot
Wired is allways better there is no way around it.
no
Yeah sounds exactly like the wh1000xm4s description given there so many times
Do you use iphone or android?
