About a year ago I purchased a $100 dollar gaming headset from Logitech, specifically the Logitech G Pro wired edition; thinking that having a “high-quality” headset with an integrated microphone would make my life easier, but the Logitech G Hub gave me a lot of issues and the quality overall was slightly below what I expected.

So, 2 days ago I managed to snag a White Version of the 1000XM4’s for about $220 USD post tax, not sure if it was a good deal, I do want to make it clear I am outside of America, so it could be cheaper there.

Issue is… I expected something of higher quality.

Don’t get me wrong, the headphones sound great, the build quality is good, the noise-cancelling is superb… but I expected something leagues above my gaming headset, whereas, they sound somewhat similar.

I tried playing around with the equalizer setting, but everything sounds so … low volume?
I got a free trial at Deezer’s Hi-Fi audio streaming, which I assume is FLAC, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between Spotify’s streaming with my gaming headset and Deezer’s FLAC streaming with my Sony’s.

I’m not very adamant with my sound quality, for most of my life I used a past model version of Senheisser’s HD 598 SE and it had been my favourite headphones I’ve used.

Anyone else?

Another thing apart from parametric eq. Are you using LDAC on android?. If you use iPhone all you can do is AAC. On windows you would need to find software(i don’t remember) to get LDAC. LDAC on highest settinga makes your music sound a little bit better assuming it isn’t already very compressed or has enough complexity
