Hi,

So last post, I went to a nearby store in Sweden to try out the Audeze LCD-X, connected to a Burson conductor 3x. I wasn’t pleased with what I heared and it was my fault because I connected to the amp via bluetooth.

However, moving forward…

I saw Sennheiser 599 being on sale on Amazon and I just had to buy it (even though finding out later that they wasn’t reduced that much).

I ordered them yesterday and received them today. I disconnected my Beyerdynamics DT770 Pro 250. I Connected the Sennheiser to my Scarlett 2i4 audio interface and started listening to my usual songs on Spotify.

I immediately reacted to something, it was more like: “What? I haven’t heard that before in this song.”
Next song plays, which is Flight by Hannah Parrott, the beginning of the song was just so amazing and the level of detail is something I never thought I would hear. When the violin comes in, I started to shiver, the level of precision and detail was just amazing that I almost teared up. It felt like the violin was here, in my room.

I never thought I would be amazed by such headphones given the price tag that I consider to be cheap. Nevertheless, it is by far the best headphones I have ever purchased and I’m afraid I’m not done - yet.

This is not the “end-game”, but a start to a whole new journey that I never thought I would get in to.

Thank you so much for reading.

Kind regards,

Gabe

Absolutely, the 598’s were my first setup with a similarly priced amp to the phones and I had the same reactions like I had never actually heard any of my music before, anyone who came over got the ‘listen to this’ treatment lol. When I upgraded to Sundara’s and an Atom stack it was almost that same jump all over again, 3 years later I still do almost tear up with great music regularly. I’ve ordered my next upgrades for xmas, my endgame, I don’t expect the same jump, but I will reach audio nirvana I’m sure.
