Congrats! I agree that the speaker placement/stands will help the sound a lot. Enjoy the music and don’t be overly picky about it. You’re miles ahead of what most people listen to.

Lovely wee setup you have there… I bought those speakers for my partner as a first foray into “proper” hifi and she absolutely loves them. If you feel brave, the Q Acoustics subwoofers are good value and a great add-on! Fully agree with the comments about filled stands - and there are matching Q Acoustics ones that screw into those speakers for a good foundation, if you feel like they must match… Also, move them apart if you can. Start with an equilateral triangle with you at one point and the speakers at the other two. Then experiment. These don’t need toeing-in. When you feel like upgrading (after the stands and the subwoofer) perhaps start with the dac. A RME adi-2 is a great next step. Principally, I hope you enjoy it

It’s not what we think it’s what you think. Looking at the set up, I would get those speakers away from the wall, break them further apart and maybe incorporate a subwoofer as well. 😉

Everything looks good as long as you’re not doing Bluetooth streaming. Also, just my silly little opinion but that dac is way overpriced and it looks like you’re not using the features that make it more expensive

Hard to say without knowing what you paid for everything.

Not much that can compete with a Kali system and a chromecast audio at low price points.

If all together this is 300 bucks though, not terrible.

That’s a sweet set up for sure!

As a few people have pointed out already that will help improve your sound. I hope you manage to get something to separate those speakers, without taking too much of your living space away from you! Having a set up in your bedroom can be really difficult when you don’t have a load of space to work with.

Feel free to drop me a message if you need any help with the ZEN Air Blue at all!

Looks like you got lots of good suggestions, so time for an off topic question: I see those guitar necks peeking in the picture. What do you have!?

Glorious! Very nice guitars, thanks for sharing! I have a Luna acoustic concert cutaway, a little 3/4 size fender classical that I pulled the saddle off of and string with really light electric strings, and I’m about to get another acoustic but this time and acoustic-electric grand concert for more low end richness… can’t wait to one day save up for something like the Fender Acoustasonic, they are innnnnnncredible :)
