The first real big boy amp I bought when I got into this hobby was my Yamaha M-4 and I cannot find a fault with this unit. It is the most musical and pleasing amp in my (sizeable) collection, and it is absolutely transparent while I am listening to Gus Dapperton’s album “Orca.” I rotate this amp in and out of my different systems and it is currently powering my bedroom system with some AR90’s and being ran by an adcom GTP-450 and I really just wanted to post about how content I feel right now; its been rough recently, but these sound waves really do make things better. I hope the rest of us on this forum can relate, it’s really the best I have felt in months and I wanted to share it with everyone else. Cheers.
Damping factor of 200 nice
Used to sell those, and was happy to! Glad yours is still in use. The LED meters were low key, unlike successor models M60, M80, etc.
Have the M-4 in my main system, and not really looking to ever replace it. In addition to great sound, it’s fairly easy to work on
