These headphones sound great for their age, and also go by Mura HV-230, Maruni HV-230, Numark HV-215, Prefer HD84V and probably some other names under Dero and Universum. Basically they were produced by an OEM in Japan and a bunch of companies slapped their name on it.
I’d like to track down the original manufacturer, but information is spotty; my current best guess is “Excel Sound” due to the similarities with their ES-6500 from 1978.

Thanks for the info! I dont have my stereo set up right now because of some renos, but i think im gonna pull er out to test these guys
