I have a few audiophile PF LP pressing and I’m looking for the best pressing of The Wall. Can’t seem to find anything relevant so far except “Japanese pressing is the best” or “no it’s not worth the Greek pressing” etc… so I thought I’d ask you guys some advice! Sorry if the question had already been asked 50 times. I have a G+ 79’ german harvest pressing as well as remastered reissue from 2016 which sounds decent but very very noisy. Hence why I’m looking for something different and better in the best case. Edit: I’m talking about LP records, not CDs!

It’s funny that people say Japanese pressings are the best but real Japanese audiophiles send groups of people across the ocean to grab US pressings of everything. Typically Japanese records have very muted bass and boosted treble.

The issue is also that Japanese pressing plants do a very good job of pressing the records and that is why they are sort after. BUT!

However the mastering etc used is often unknown and that is where it all falls down. Many use some really shit masters, but the the record pressing is immaculate. I know I own a few and agree, light on the bass end.
